Payroll cut-offWhat it means, in plain English

The payroll cut-off is the deadline by which timesheets, absences and pay changes must be finalised for inclusion in the next pay run. Anything approved after the cut-off normally rolls into the following period or requires a manual adjustment. Tight, well-communicated cut-offs matter most in hourly-paid businesses, where late timesheet approvals are the leading cause of pay errors and off-cycle corrections.
