AccrualWhat it means, in plain English
Accrual is the gradual build-up of an entitlement, most often annual leave, in proportion to time worked. UK workers start accruing holiday from their first day of employment, and irregular-hours workers typically accrue at 12.07 percent of the hours worked in each pay period. Accrual tracking matters most for starters, leavers and variable-hours staff, where entitlement rarely matches a neat annual allowance.
