Night workerWhat it means, in plain English

A night worker is someone who regularly works at least three hours during the night period, which is 11pm to 6am unless the employer and workers agree a different window. Night workers must not average more than eight hours of work in each 24-hour period, and the limit is absolute for work involving special hazards. Employers must offer night workers a free health assessment before they start nights and at regular intervals afterwards.
