A pulse survey is a very short staff survey, often just one to five questions, sent frequently, for example weekly or monthly. Rather than replacing the annual engagement survey, pulses track the trend between them and catch problems such as rota dissatisfaction or burnout while they are still fixable. Keeping them short and acting visibly on the results is what stops survey fatigue.
